Aplicación de prácticas agronómicas a un cultivo de cacao (Theobroma cacao L), en transición a agricultura orgánica en el municipio de Valencia - Córdoba

Abstract

El sector cacaotero en Colombia ha tenido una lucha constante contra los problemas fitosanitarios. Este proyecto productivo, enfocado al fortalecimiento del cultivo de cacao (Theobroma cacao L), se llevó a cabo en la finca Bellavista del municipio de Valencia, Córdoba. Se realizó un mejoramiento mediante prácticas agronómicas, tales como, manejo integrado de plagas, enfermedades y arvenses (MIPE), (MIA), RE.SE, cosecha y poscosecha; con el fin de mejorar la productividad y la calidad de los cultivos. En este orden de ideas, el desarrollo de este trabajo se divide en cuatro componentes generales, el primero, el componente agronómico, cosiste en utilizar técnicas para el buen desarrollo agronómico del cultivo de cacao (T. cacao); el segundo, el investigativo, se basa en caracterizar clones de cacao (T. cacao L.) que presentan mejor comportamiento a moniliasis (Moniliophthora roreri); el tercero, el componente social, Fomenta la sostenibilidad en el barrio, La Cooperativa y el fortalecimiento femenino en el municipio de Valencia, Córdoba, a través de la elaboración de abonos orgánicos; y, finalmente, el componente de empresarización del campo, busca aumentar el sistema productivo mediante las intervenciones agronómicas.

The cocoa sector in Colombia has had a constant fight against phytosanitary problems. This productive project focused on strengthening the cultivation of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L), was carried out on the Bellavista farm in the municipality of Valencia, Córdoba. An improvement was made through agronomic practices, such as integrated management of pests, diseases and weeds (MIPE), (MIA), RE.SE, harvest and post-harvest; in order to improve the productivity and quality of crops. In this order of ideas, the development of this work is divided into four general components, the first, the agronomic component, consists in using techniques for the good agronomic development of the cocoa crop (T. cacao); the second, the investigative one, is based on characterizing cacao clones (T. cacao L.) that present better behavior to moniliasis (Moniliophthora roreri); the third, the social component, Promotes sustainability in the neighborhood, The Cooperative and the empowerment of women in the municipality of Valencia, Córdoba, through the production of organic fertilizers; and, finally, the field business component, seeks to increase the productive system through agronomic interventions.
